That’s what The Lazy Photographer Location Guides are all about, helping everyday photographers discover extraordinary places with minimal effort, maximum reward.
The idea was born in October 2022 on a sun lounger in Malta. While dreaming of turning his photography passion into a full-time pursuit, Ste realised that most photographers face one challenge above all: not knowing where to go.
There are thousands of books about how to shoot… but very few about where to shoot, especially for those who don’t want (or can’t manage) long hikes or mountain climbs. That’s where his idea took root.
The Lazy Photographer guides are different.
They’re for real people, photographers with limited time, families in tow, dogs in the backseat, or just a desire to capture something incredible without a 3-hour trek. Every location is carefully chosen for impact, accessibility, and ease.You’ll find roadside stops. Short, manageable walks.
And a way of planning that feels like having a local photographer in your pocket.Ste’s first guide, Anglesey and North Wales, launched in August 2024, quickly followed by Scotland: The South and Western Highlands just three months later.
With Liverpool and The Lake District coming in 2025, the journey is just getting started.He keeps one quote pinned to his fridge, a quiet reminder of why he started:
